Our Constitution

The North York Moors Graziers Group is governed by a formal constitution adopted on 27 January 2026. It sets out how the Group is structured, how decisions are made, and how members work together to support active grazing across the commons of the North York Moors.

The constitution outlines:

  • The aims and objectives of the Group

  • Membership criteria and member entitlements

  • How meetings, elections and decision‑making take place

  • The roles and responsibilities of officers and the Group Committee

  • Financial management and shared assets

  • Processes for amendments and dissolution

The constitution provides a clear, fair framework that helps the Group operate openly, collaboratively and in the best interests of graziers and the wider landscape.
